Both volumes retain original red publisher's cloth bindings. Covers and spines illustrated and titled in gilt and black. Illustration of climbing equipment in black to upper of both covers at title. Edges patterned softly in blue for vol.I and red for vol.II. Very good. Vol.I spine tanned, though gilt titling remains bright. Spine of vol.II slightly sun faded, with fading to and small loss to gilt titling. Both volumes rubbed at corners and a little to covers, more pronounced on vol.II. Contents of both volumes complete and near fine. Preserved excellently. Some very minor marking sporadically in both volumes.Â
