Bound in original vertically-grained green publisher's cloth. Illustrated vignette of mountain on cover blocked in black and white. Cover margins ruled in blind. Lettering to spine in gilt. Upper edge gilt, others uncut. Very good. Spine gilt has mild fading. Spine cracked at front endpapers. Some minor wear at spine edges and corners. Contents near fine, complete, bright, and fresh. An excellent copy of a rare mountaineering classic.
